The new generation of salon ownership

The hair industry is experiencing some pretty big changes at the moment. And what's really exciting is seeing the new generation of young salon owners and their approach to all things business.

Our guest today is Sheridan Rose Shaw, owner of Mama West in Melbourne. This is one young salon owner who's been making a lot of noise lately. She's a member of the FAME team and winner of multiple awards, including local VIC business awards for innovation, plus Mama West is the current AHFA Artistic Team of the Year and AHIA VIC Salon of the Year.

Some might think that Sheridan is an 'overnight success'. However after 17 years in the industry, that's far from the truth. She has an incredibly successful business formula and inspiring salon culture, and says Mama West is her opportunity to give what was not necessarily given to her as an apprentice and employee.
