Introducing school students to a career in hair

Meet Bonnie Pilgrim and Samantha Redmond, AHC members and Co-Directors of Hair Management Co. These ladies are using their longstanding love and experience in the hair and beauty industry and life coaching skills to help young people find their dream careers and consider hairdressing as their career of choice.

Bonnie and Samantha have created the Hairdressing Apprenticeship Careers Pathway Program, a full-day course for year 9, 10, 11, and 12 high school students. It is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the industry, including the different career paths available, the hands-on skills and knowledge required, and the current industry trends. Bonnie and Sam have been delivering the program by visiting high school students, Careers Advisors and Principals, with great success and feedback.

A key part of the program is to match eager students with AHC-accredited salons in their area, helping to drive quality apprentices into our Industry.
